Privacy Notice

This notice explains how we handle personal data submitted through the contact form on mtal.io. It does not cover third-party sites we link to.
Who we are
The data controller is MineTech Global Holding FZ-LLC, Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. For any privacy question or request, email privacy@mtal.io or use our contact form.
What we collect, and why
- Name and email address (you provide): to respond to your enquiry.
- “What best describes you”, company (optional), and your message (you provide): to understand and respond to your enquiry.
- IP address (from your request): for security and anti-spam, and to derive an approximate country.
- Approximate country (derived from your IP address): to understand where enquiries originate.
- Browser user-agent (from your request): for security, anti-spam, and diagnostics.
- Submission timestamp (automatic): for record-keeping and retention.
Approximate location
We derive only a country-level estimate from your IP address using a local MaxMind GeoLite2 database held within our own system. Your IP address is not sent to MaxMind or any other third party for this. It is an estimate and may be inaccurate.
Legal basis
Where GDPR applies, we process this data on the basis of our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries you send us and keeping the form secure. Where you contact us about a potential agreement, processing may also be necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract.
Who processes it
- Amazon Web Services (AWS): hosting and storage. Contact submissions are stored in the EU (eu-central-1, Frankfurt) region, encrypted at rest with a customer-managed key and in transit, on a private store that is not publicly accessible.
- Microsoft (Microsoft 365 and SharePoint): so our team can read, respond to and manage enquiries. A copy of your submission is stored in our Microsoft 365 tenant, which is located in the United States. That transfer outside the EU relies on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and, where it does not apply, on the Standard Contractual Clauses in Microsoft's data protection terms. Access is limited to a named group of MineTech staff. Your IP address and browser details are not included in this copy.
- Cloudflare Turnstile: the anti-bot check on the contact form. When you submit, Cloudflare processes your IP address and interaction data to distinguish humans from bots, and may process it outside the EU under appropriate safeguards (Standard Contractual Clauses).
- Cloudflare Web Analytics: cookieless, privacy-first site analytics. It measures aggregate usage (such as page views and referrers) using no cookies and no personal data or cross-site tracking.
We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it other than as described above.
How long we keep it
Contact submissions are automatically deleted after 2 years. This applies to both copies: the record held in AWS and the copy held in Microsoft 365. We may retain a submission longer only where an ongoing conversation or a legal obligation requires it.
Deletion is not always instant. Once deleted, a copy can persist briefly in standard recycle bins (up to 93 days in Microsoft 365) before it is removed permanently.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, object to or ask us to restrict its processing, and request portability; where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. A deletion request covers every copy we hold, in both AWS and Microsoft 365. To exercise any of these, email privacy@mtal.io or use our contact form. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Cookies
This site does not set analytics or advertising cookies; our analytics provider, Cloudflare Web Analytics, is cookieless. Cloudflare Turnstile may set a strictly-necessary cookie to perform the anti-bot check on the contact form.

We may update this notice; the date above reflects the latest version.
